Simple graduation thanks

Sometimes simple is best, especially when you have a lot to do in a limited amount of time. Here a few super simple thank you notes that I'm stamping up for Kristine. They are cuter in person than on the screen.

Project 365

Yep, I'm still working on my project 365. . . . I'm currently scrapping October's photo's from '09 and still taking pictures for this year. I'm not taking a picture everyday but it is still a fun project.

Cute Card - no gluing

I love the look of layered paper, but sometimes . . . .I love the look of layering with out the glue. This card features the text texture stamp from the Noted Backgrounds set. I stamped it in Creme Brulee then used a sponge dauber to add some color to the card stock. You can see where I used a post it to mask off a section for the saying. I used Close to My Heart Markers to color in the flowers. Ink Color for the flowers: Sorbet, Creme Brulee, and Twilight and Garden Green. I cut a stencil to make the color block for the "It's your day" text. Twilight on the left and Garden Green on the right.

Gift Card Wallet - Thanks Jen

Jen Rubio is my hero. She posted this awsome gift card wallet and I used her directions and blatently copied her card. Visit her website for the directions and a photo of her card. Here is her blog. April Stamp of the Month

Time marches on and I missed making any projects that featured The March Stamp of the Month. I'm sad, but instead of dwelling on the past . . . I'm focusing on the Future! Here are a few cards that I made using April's stamp of the month :
Flower Pot. After a long dreary winter I'm glad to have a chance to think Spring. Consider hosting an April Gathering! We'll have fun!

Senior Night

This is the poster that I made for Kristine's senior night. I'm so proud of her . . . . and it was so much fun to put together this display. The center picture is actually three 8x10 photo's pieced together. It showed off her beautiful form. Plus it gives me a head start on the graduation display. I didn't use any stamps on this project, but I did use Close to My Heart papers . . . . Star Spangled Blue, Cranberry and even though you can't tell, Heavenly Blue.

Piece of Cake

Inspired by Karen Pederson's blog http://karenpedersen.blogspot.com/2010/02/piece-of-cake.html I made these cards using the Piece of Cake Stamp D1407 set which is February's stamp of the month. My cards are kind of "plain Jane" by comparison, but I still love them. I also got to try out my new texture stamp set called "Noted Backgrounds" It's a new favorite. The colors used are: Heavenly Blue, Key Lime and Buttercup. . . . they make me think about spring!
