One more lay-out with the "It's your day" stamp set. I was a little disappointed in how it photographed, because I really liked how it turned out. It's Grey Wool, Tulip, Heavenly Blue and Dutch Blue. Thanks to Karen Pedersen for showing me the flexibility of the packages. . . Who knew that I could stamp a short fat package and a tall thin package from the same stamp? I didn't until I saw Karen's post.

It's Your Day!

I thought it would be fun to show 2 very similar layouts with a single stamp set. . . The stamp set is the August Stamp of the Month "It's your day" Originally inspired by Pamela OConner this is what I came up with.

2009 sports schedules

I made refridgerator magnets for Andrew and Kristine's sports schedules . . . I hand them out to friends and family that have expressed interest in attending the kid's sporting events. . . I also use a copy in their scrapbooks,

I'm loving this stamp set! It's the August SOM - It's your Day. It's a fun set with so much potential for borders and other fun. The dot pattern is from the invitation part of the stamp set.

Colors used: Dutch Blue, Tulip, Sunflower, and Clover Meadow. These colors are featured in the Animal Cookies paper packet.

Project 365 continues

Love this Bella Paper Packet! Here are my May project 365 pages. It's July 10th, I'm doing well at taking the pictures, but I'm falling a little behind with the scrap booking. . . my answer to that is to really simplify my pages. . . .

All that sparkles

I snickered to myself this morning when I noticed some glitter on Andy's face. (He's my 20 year old son.) These are the table markers that I made for my Neice's wedding. I used the number solos stamped in black, then I used a paint brush to paint glue all over them, then glittered the numbers. It was fun, but I know that we'll be sparkling for weeks.

Best Use of time

One of my favorite things to do is to make a co-ordinating gift wrap to go with a gift. Kristine has a baby shower to go to this afternoon, and she asked me to use my canoe stamp to make a gift bag. . . . sure, my kitchen is a mess, but who am I to refuse her! I used the Back Country Paper packet. Some of the trees are stamped with B1328 Backwoods stamp set ( mostly on the tissue paper) and some are cut out from the Background and Texture paper. The water on the gift bag is also one of the B&T papers from the Back Country Paper packet.

Woohoo!

The assignment was to use the Animal Crackers paper packet and new stamps from the Summer Close to My Heart Idea Book and make a standard size card. I'm still loving making my own rainbow pads with the Re-inkers. I stamped the owl with one using Dutch Blue, Clover Meadow, and Sunflower re-inkers I outlined the owl with black; colored the beak sunflower and accented it with liquid glass. I was able to curve "woohoo" on the block to have it curve around the circle. I also used black mini-brads for the eyes. I'm loving my new piercing tool that comes with it's own little matt. I need to make 19 of these cards for an exchange that I'm doing. . . I'm giong to have a hard time mailing these off, because I love them so much.

Be yourself

"Be yourself" is May's stamp of the month. . . . I have been having so much fun with the "tickled pink" stamp set that I hadn't until tonight done anything with this girly set.

These stamps are great to use as silhouettes or to cut out and layer the outfits.

The paper packet that I used is called Creative Basics Animal Cookies. It also comes with a spool a white grossgrain ribbon

I love the running girl. My niece recently ran a mini-marathon. I'm going to send the running girl card to her. . . . also, my daughter is in track. . . I'll use it for her scrapbook pages.

Chalk it up

I think tone on tone chalking is a great way to add dimension to a project.

The color is a little off on the photo. . . sorry, the papers are from the Summer Idea book. . . Bella.

Three fun techniques. . . Later, I'll post a card using
the last one. . . .

About a month a go Kathi of http://www.kathiscreativecorner.blogspot.com/ introduced me to the idea of creating my own rainbow pad with CTMH re-inkers and a babywipe. I used watermelon, orange, and sunny yellow re-inkers. . . . Do you recognize the stamp set? It's part of the Tickled Pink Incentive. . . it's also the same stamp set that I used on the twilight cards in a previous post. I can't wait to try some other color combinations.

Tickled Shades of Blue

Inspired by Lisa of Lisa's creative corner. The only real difference is that I added Liquid Glass and Glitter to the focal point flower and used a circle punch instead of cutting it out. The colors are Twilight, Crystal Blue and a little retired "tropical blue" and Cocoa.

Love this card. . . it's simple but cute. . . the colors are sweet leaf, petal, buttercup and blush! Sure wish that the jewel had "sparked" in the picuture. The stamp is the friendship word puzzle and the intrinsic backgrounds.

Stair step cards are fun. . . this is one that I "threw together" for Andrew's 20th birthday. . . . If I had it to do over, I think I would make the canoe a different color. I used the April Stamp of the Month . . . and a stray Happy Birthday stamp. Happy Stamping! - Margaret

March 365

I'm still at it! I chose the Goodtimes paper packet for the month of March. . . . Sometime's it's hard to get a picture taken each day. . . and other days I have a hard time choosing just one. . . .One day, I included 4 pictures . . . . I guess sometimes rules are meant to be broken. :-) Do you recognize some of the stamp sets? I've used the March word puzzle (D1270), Intrinsic Backgrounds (D1335), and Rustic Flowers (D1186)
